August 13th is a day of celebration, reflection and prayer as Knights of Columbus honor our Founder, Blessed Michael McGivney.
The annual feast day takes place on Aug. 13 — the day between his birthday (in 1852) and the day he passed into eternal life (in 1890). During his short 38 years of life, Father McGivney answered God’s call to defend the family and the faith. His cause has now entered the final phase toward canonization. With one more confirmed miracle attributed to his intercession, Blessed McGivney can be declared a saint.
